Veron Building Consultants was initially engaged to assist with obtaining a Code Compliance Certificate following a failed final Council inspection for the residential property at 51E Lennon Access Road, Stillwater. The engagement later expanded to include procurement and contract administration services for the main dwelling remedial works.
Veron provided building surveying and architectural services to review the existing dwelling and assess the likely issues associated with the failed Council inspection. Our subsequent role included finalising the NZS 3910:2013 construction contract and providing contract administration throughout the construction phase.
Veron’s building surveyor and architect attended the property to review the existing dwelling and investigate the likely issues arising from the failed final Council inspection. This initial assessment provided the basis for determining the next steps required to progress the property towards compliance.
As the project progressed into the construction phase, Veron liaised with the relevant parties to prepare and finalise the NZS 3910:2013 construction contract.
Veron subsequently administered the construction contract, undertaking fortnightly site visits and on-site meetings to review construction progress. Fortnightly updates were provided to the client, while contractor payment claims were independently assessed and payment recommendations issued based on the progress of the works.
Veron provided a coordinated range of building surveying, architectural, procurement and contract administration services across the project. This gave the client professional support from the initial review of the failed Council inspection through to the procurement and construction phases of the remedial works.
Regular progress reviews, client updates and payment claim assessments provided clear oversight of the project and supported informed decision-making throughout construction.
