AAMA 501.2 and AAMA 502.12 Joinery Testing

In New Zealand, AAMA 501.2 and AAMA 502-12 joinery testing standards are crucial for assessing the performance and durability of window and door systems in the building and construction industry. These standards are designed to ensure that joinery products can withstand the unique environmental conditions found across the country, from coastal areas exposed to salt spray to regions prone to high wind and heavy rainfall.

Veron proudly offers a comprehensive on-site joinery testing service across New Zealand, adhering strictly to the Australian & New Zealand standards AS/NZS 4284:2008 and AS/NZS 4211:2008. Our detailed compliance reports are produced following the required testing methodology on site and provide either the Contractor of Client with surety that the joinery being tested complies in accordance with the required standard.

We provide the following two tests:

• AAMA 501.2 for quality assurance and diagnostic evaluation of water leakage in installed shopfronts, curtain walls, and sloped glazing. Our testing is in full compliance with NZS 4211:2008 and AAMA 501.2 standards, providing peace of mind in the integrity of non-operable fenestration.
• AAMA 502.12 - Tailored for voluntary specification and field testing of newly installed fenestration products, this test is suitable for operable joinery items. Veron's testing service meets the requirements of NZS 4211:2008, 4284:2008, and AAMA 502.12, ensuring that newly installed windows, doors, and skylights are up to standard.
